Google record details the ongoing combat in opposition to bad Android apps
Today, Google launched its 5th annual protection and privateness file. More specifically, the percentage of PHAs downloaded from Google Play grew from 0.02 portion in 2017 to zero.04 rate in 2018. “If we dispose of the numbers for click fraud from these stats, the statistics show that PHAs on Google Play declined by using 31 percent 12 months-over-year,” the file says.
Google does not have a clear task of securing the extra two billion Android gadgets worldwide. But with its AI-pushed Google Play Protect, which debuted in 2017, it’s capable of test over 50 billion apps day by day. In 2018, Google persevered to build on Google Play Protect’s machine-learning capabilities.
Other facts aid the drop in PHA installs. In 2018, 0.45 percent of Android devices walking Google Play Protect had PHAs established. That turned into the down from 0.56 percent in 2017.
